A growing, state-of-the-art robotics company contacted Mac Interior Design Inc to totally renovate the office portion of their facility. The school tasked the designers to create a “wow” factor, transforming the space into a mecca for performances, surfing the net, social gatherings and dining. Mac Interior Design Inc used the large round columns with new surrounding ceiling clouds to emulate trees. Bold floor graphics and curved banquettes with mesh curtains designed three distinct areas – the internet cafe and two pods of dining. Bold rich colors and exciting geometric forms welcomed the students into their new campus home.

Using stained plywood wainscoting, polished concrete floors and bright semi-gloss paint, Mac Interior Design Inc created an exciting learning environment for the students. Even the work benches were painted bright red to match the exposed ductwork. Proposed, but never implemented, Mac Interior Design Inc designed an automotive themed photographic wall mural using circular wall sconces to mimic head lights and hub caps.
]]>After hurricane Katrina destroyed the Lake Charles Airport in 2007, Jacobs Carter & Burgess was hired to design a replacement facility. The architects invited Mac Interior Design Inc to team with them. Instead of duplicating the standard modern state-of-the-art airport, the client asked the designers to interject a Louisiana theme. The ubiquitous state flower, the Iris, was incorporated into the relief wall panels. Iconic lanterns replaced fluorescent troffers and classical motifs were integrated into the terrazzo flooring. The restaurant and cocktail lounge were designed to mimic the festive mood of Mardi Gras.
